A pop-up is a small web browser window that appears on top of the main browser window you're viewing. Some pop-up windows open as soon as you visit a website; these are usually created by advertisers. They can also be displayed when you select an active link within a web page.
A pop-up blocker is a software program that lets you limit or block most pop-ups. Pop-up blockers are often provided by browsers, security software, operating systems, toolbars, and many internet applications. This information will cover only the basic pop-up blockers provided in some of the most common browsers.
You will need either to turn off pop-up blocking while visiting the VIN and VSPN websites (
a per-session solution) or to leave pop-up blocking on, but configure the pop-up blocking software to allow pop-ups from the VIN and VSPN websites (
a long-term solution).
Here are generic instructions about pop-up blocking. The specifics, e.g., menus and wordings, for individual versions of the software may differ slightly. If you experience difficulties, contact VIN's technical support team at 1.800.846.0028 ext 127 or 1.530.756.4881 (outside the US).
