Schaumburg, Ill. — The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) now delivers animal-health and welfare information as well as news about veterinary medicine to the general public via a 24-hour Web channel called AVMAtv.

AVMA bills the service as a "one-stop resource for all things veterinary and animal health and welfare." The site offers video clips about exotic animals, emerging diseases, food safety and career opportunities in the profession. Channels include initiatives, veterinary history, community, careers and news. Registered users can gain access to community and interactive features, including a comment box on videos.

“We will continually update this site, so check back frequently,” Executive Vice President Dr. Ron DeHaven says in news release.
