Dr. Rose graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.  She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, graduating first in her class from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained her first Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Canine and Feline Practice in 2003. She then obtained her second Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Feline Practice in 2012. She became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2009. Her areas of interest include feline medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (acupuncture, herbology, food therapy). Dr. Rose is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association (Past-President). In addition, she is a member of the Veterinary Information Network, the American Animal Hospital Association, the International Association of Veterinary Pain Management, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, and the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr. Rose was a founding board member of Friends for Life No Kill Shelter.
