Dr. Alice M. Wolf received her DVM degree from the University of California at Davis, interned at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA and returned to U. C. Davis for her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine.  Dr. Wolf spent 3 years in private practice in Albany, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area and the next 24 years as a Professor of Small Animal Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.  

Dr. Wolf received a number of teaching and service awards including the Norden Teacher Award, the Merck Teaching Award, Texas A&M University Association of Former Students College and University Level Distinguished Teaching Awards, and the Cornerstone Award from her collegiate alma mater, Chatham College.  She was recognized for her contributions in Feline Internal Medicine with the AAHA Regional Practitioner of the Year Award, the National Friskies PetCare Award, and the prestigious Bourgelat Award from the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. In 2007 she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Veterinary Medicine at U.C. Davis.  Dr. Wolf was a speaker at numerous local, regional, national, and international veterinary meetings and twice received the “Speaker of the Year” award from the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC).  

Dr. Wolf published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and was a reviewer and editor for several veterinary publications. She and her colleagues at Texas A&M University performed and published several research studies including a large NIH-funded project on Feline Immunodeficiency Virus as a model for human HIV-AIDs.
