Current Research/Clinical Interests

  • Multi-omics investigation of calcium oxalate urinary stones in a dog model; strong emphasis in metabolomics
    and RNA-sequencing analysis and integration with genomic data to make inferences about the genetic basis of kidney stone development in the dog model. Working with Dr. Eva Furrow, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (University of Minnesota) and Dr. Kristina Penniston, RD, PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

Relationships/Spouse/Children/Pets

  • I have a husband and two daughters. We share our home with a rambunctious chocolate Labrador retriever and 2 senior cats.

Hobbies

  • I enjoy the outdoors, craft beer, cooking, art projects, reading, and finding new opportunities to explore my daughters’ interests.
