Heather Howell, LVT, RVT, MBA, CCFP

Heather earned her BS in Animal Science at UC Davis, and her MBA from University of Nevada, Reno. She is credentialed as an RVT/LVT in California and Nevada. She is also a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP).

Heather has extensive experience in management, compliance, and training, which spans multiple fields. She is passionate about teaching and coaching people to achieve organizational and personal success. Heather especially enjoys communication, conflict management, and organizational development topics. She is also an advocate for wellness and self-compassion, as well as combatting professional burnout and compassion fatigue. She has worked as a consultant and speaker throughout the US and Canada. Her work with animals includes working at Marine World Africa USA, in large animal and companion animal veterinary practices, and in shelter medicine, as a credentialed veterinary technician and hospital administrator. Heather also has experience teaching as a middle school science teacher and as an adjunct professor for a bachelor's program in Veterinary Technology. Currently, she is a Content Administrator for Veterinary Information Network, and a continuing education instructor for Veterinary Support Personnel Network.
