Course Information:
The goal of this course is to enable and empower veterinary practice leaders to effectively plan and conduct staff meetings that enhance staff training and problem solving. The course will cover how to schedule meetings, how to plan meeting agendas, what should be discussed at meetings and how to keep meetings on track. The course will also discuss how to increase learning at meetings and decrease the poor morale, poor attendance, and 'bad' feelings. The course will start with the basics of meeting scheduling and writing agendas and move on to more in-depth discussion of meeting ideas and activities.

Week 1 (Real Time Session April 19): How to Kill a Meeting AND How to Bring Meetings Back to Life
In this session we will discuss how to improve meeting attendance and alternatives to in person meetings. We will also go over good scheduling practices, as well as common meeting pitfalls, and ideas to make meetings more enjoyable.
Week 2 (Real Time Session April 26):
Getting Staff Involved, Energized and Learning
This week we will discuss determining our desired outcomes and integrating team members participation in training and meetings. Ways to improve morale, planning, and innovative ways to conduct meetings will also be discussed.
Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required to earn a certificate of completion for the course. To learn more about the requirements for earning a CE certificate, please refer to Receiving Your CE Credit and Course Completion Certificate.
