COURSE DESCRIPTION
Week 1 (9/12): A discussion of the causes of lameness �blocked out� from the proximal metatarsus and distally with Dr. Midge Leitch. Special emphasis will be placed on the diagnosis of proximal suspensory desmitis
Week 2 (9/19): An overview of diagnostic nerve blocks in the hindlimb with Dr. Kent Carter.
Week 3 (9/26): An exploration of the causes of lameness that are alleviated by a peroneal and tibial nerve block with Dr. Robin Dabareiner. Dr. Dabareiner will emphasize difficult conditions of the tarsus.
Week 4 (10/3): A discussion of the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of lamenesses associated with the stifle with Dr. Dave Wilson. Dr. Wilson will emphasize the various imaging methods used to aid in the diagnosis of stifle lamenesses.
Week 5 (10/10): A conversation about lameness originating proximal to the stifle with Dr. Kevin Keegan. Dr. Keegan will explore the diagnosis and treatment of hip and sacroiliac joint disease, and injuries to the bone and soft tissue of the pelvic area.

COURSE WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY: Withdrawal prior to the listed start date of a course entitles the registrant to a complete refund or a credit toward a future VIN CE course, whichever is preferred. Withdrawal within 1 week after the listed start date (i.e. including no more than one real-time session) entitles the registrant to a credit toward any future VIN CE course. (Does not apply to courses with only one real-time session.) After the first real-time session, a registrant may withdraw due to special circumstances and receive prorated credit towards a future VIN course. These requests will be handled on an individual basis. The amount of the prorated credit will be determined based on 65% of the time remaining in the course at the time of withdrawal. It is not possible to withdraw retroactively.
