and a minor amount of advanced material to keep it interesting.
Participants in this course should be well versed in basic feline
and canine anatomy and physiology.
VIN CE Course: Open to veterinarians.
This course has been submitted for RACE approval for veterinarians.
Course Information:
In many veterinary clinics dermatology can make up to 50%
of the case load seen on a daily basis. This course will be
a presentation of practical solutions to common problems and
information for the practicing veterinarian. Information will
be presented on how to deal with recurrent bacterial skin infections,
why they occur and what can be done to prevent them from happening again and again.
External parasites can be frustrating and irritating to deal with.
An update will be presented of ways to deal with them as well as
new and exciting treatments which are available.
Atopic dermatitis is a very common skin disease in small animals.
Comorbidities can and do occur, making the disease more difficult
to treat. We will help you identify them and treat them effectively.
Skin biopsies can be a helpful tool to diagnose many problems in
dermatology. We will present tips and technical information to show
you how to get the most information and the best possible results.
Finally, dermatology grand rounds will showcase interesting and
informative cases. From the bizarre to the humorous, we will present
a wide array of cases from VIN and referral dermatology practice.
All of the seminars are designed to present the latest scientific
information for the practicing veterinarian. The topics will be
timely and practical. They will be presented in lecture format
(audio) with notes and references.
